My research focuses on closed-loop brain stimulation to investigate how cerebellar theta oscillations related to balance can be modulated using tACS-EEG. I am developing a system that uses in-phase vs anti-phase stimulation, with the aim of informing non-invasive approaches to support motor function in neurological conditions. As part of the UKRI Centre for Doctoral Training in Social AI, I am hoping to explore complex real-time EEG analysis techniques to inform personalised stimulation. Previously, I worked with TMS-EEG and EMG to study disease mechanisms in ALS, visual snow disorder, and pharmacological modulation in epilepsy, and contributed to clinical trials using rTMS for treatment-resistant depression.
